報告人簡介：

       許寶剛，博士，南京師范大學(xué)教授（博士生導(dǎo)師）。主持完成國家自然科學(xué)基金6項，參加國家自然科學(xué)基金重點(diǎn)項目2項?，F(xiàn)主持國家自然科學(xué)基金重點(diǎn)項目1項。長期從事圖的染色與劃分問題的研究，在圖的染色與劃分方面做了一些有意義的工作，解決了由國際著名圖論學(xué)家所提出的一系列猜想與問題。現(xiàn)擔(dān)任中國數(shù)學(xué)會理事，中國運(yùn)籌學(xué)會常務(wù)理事，中國數(shù)學(xué)會組合數(shù)學(xué)與圖論專業(yè)委員會主任，中國運(yùn)籌學(xué)會會刊（英文版）Journal of the Operations Research Society of China 編委。曾任中國運(yùn)籌學(xué)會圖論與組合分會副理事長。

報告摘要：

       A hole is an induced cycle of length at least 4. Let $\l\ge 2$ be an integer, and let ${\cal G}_{\l}$ be the family of graphs without cycles of length at most $2\l$ and without holes of odd length at least $2\l+1$. Plummer and Zha conjectured that all graphs in ${\cal G}_2$ are 3-colorable. Extending Plummer-Zha Conjecture, Wu, X. and Xu conjectured that graphs in $\cup_{\l\ge 2}{\cal G}_{\l}$ are 3-colorable. In this talk, we will introduce the progress on this conjecture and related problems.
